Due to icy driving conditions, Rabbi Harris' classes this afternoon are cancelled and the Israel Pilgrimage Fundraiser scheduled for tonight has been postponed.
As soon as we have a new date for the Israel Pilgrimage Fundraiser, we will let you know! We appreciate your support of this event and want you to know you can still make a donation to help send our 10th graders on a trip of a lifetime to Israel.
For this happy holiday, we are focusing on bringing joy to our members. Did you know there are four mitzvot associated with Purim? They are: giving shlach manot (gifts), reading the Megillah, giving T’zedakah and having a festive meal.
Come do them all at the Temple!Purim Preparations: Saturday, March 15, 3:00-6:00pmHave a fun Shabbat afternoon meeting other Temple members while baking, decorating, and organizing our shlach manot gift bags for Purim. All ages are welcome, and if you are more into the social part and less into the baking or organizing - no problem! It will be fun for everyone.
Purim Celebration: Sunday, March 169:00am - Make someone’s day happier by delivering shlach manot to Temple members. The bags, addresses and routes will all be ready to go. You can drive or join someone else in their car, and all ages are welcome to bring a smile and a treat to Temple members who have trouble getting out or who are celebrating a “Chai” Anniversary of Temple membership.
10:45am - Coffee and friends come together at Temple for a silly English Megillah reading. Bring boxes of mac & cheese or other loud food to use as groggers for the Megillah reading and then donate to the Regional Food Bank as an act of T’zedakah for Purim.12:00pm - ICSS invites the Temple and Emanuel Synagogue communities together for a Festive Purim Meal.12:30pm - ICSS hosts a Purim Carnival with face painting, bouncy house, games, and more!
