Why do people delve into their genealogy and family tree? It’s about a desire to feel connected – finding out who our ancestors were, where they came from, and what led them to their final destinations all around the globe. When we research our family tree, we discover the divergent paths that our ancestors took to find freedom and opportunity. “Jewish genealogy fosters Jewish continuity – preserving the memories of our ancestors and their lives, passing information about their heritage on to our children and their children from generation to generation”. (Generation to Generation by Arthur Kurzweil)

“…Each name is a mysterious call transmitted from generation to generation in order to force themselves to question the meaning of survival.
Let us listen to this call.”
