Thank you to the expert car washers: Tyler Arlan, Sadie Barlow, Julie Bock, Anna Epstein, Erin Murray, Alexandra Null, Delaney Robinson and Ben Scharff. A very special that you to Bill Greer for training the team!

Our year end party was at Celebration Station and we invited the incoming Freshman Class. We had a blast! Participants were: Tyler Arlan, Julie Bock, Anna Epstein, Shelby Guskin, Erin Murray, Max Perkel, Alex Raff, Delaney Robinson, Ben Scharff, Evan Traylor and Blake Wilson . Julie Bock was the BIG winner on the speedway. Shelby Guskin was the BIG ticket winner on the games. Ann Baumgarten and I were soaked on the bumper boats! All of the kids pooled their game tickets together to get a dart board and a few other games for the Youth Lounge. Thank you to Ann B and Ann Scharff for driving our kids to the event.

OKATY also supervised the putting contest and hole in one at the TBI Golf Tournament. We raised over $400 for our Youth Lounge Furniture Fund and we donated $40 to Positive Tomorrows. Thank you to my cart driver & assistant Ben Scharff along with putting assistants: Max Blumenthal, Ben Donchin & Matthew Silver . It was a great afternoon!

The OKATY Executive Council had a great retreat. We planned our events for the 2008-2009 year and are committed to having a FUN year!

Jr. OKATY News

Our end of the year celebration was held May 31st. We ate hotdogs, went swimming, ate ice cream, had Havdallah and ate more ice cream! Shelby Guskin led a beautiful Havdallah service. Sara Fisher, Shelby Guskin, Andrew Kaitcer, Max Perkel, Gerald Swain and Blake Wilson had swim relays along with a few chicken fight battles. A big thanks to the Guskin Family for hosting the event and the best hot dog chefs: Barbara Guskin & Bill Greer.

We will be on vacation in July, but will be up and running in August!

To all GFC campers…have a GREAT time!
